both, it needs to be in the form of a letter, from him to CCF addressinf each concern seperatly. Admitting or denying each item, referencing supporting documents.
i am just soo confused as to where to start rather then just listing everything... |

You need to get a copy of his most current Credit report if you don't have one already to make sure you address each issue. I would start off like this:
(Date) From:___________ To: SUBJ: FINANCIAL STATEMENT/EXPLAINATION. 1. As requested the following information is provided to document my past/current financial status: a. NAME OF CREDITOR HERE. Status of account:______ (ie Paid in full, Charged off, balance Due, etc). If it's paid off etc, attach proof as in a letter from the creditor on the companies letterhead, an invoice, etc. If not, some documentation showing the current payment plan, etc) b. same c. same. 2. As indicated above I have balances on X accounts totaling xxx.xx and have arranged with each company to pay off debts. 3. I recognize that it is my responsibility to maintain good credit health and as a result I am working diligently to return my financial status to an acceptable manner (or I have worked hard to pay off all debts and have established a financial plan and am maintaining current debt and striving to live within my means.). SIGNED As you go through your documentation, I would organize them as you refer to each one. I would address paid off debt first, then debt with balance due last. I would also tab or label each attachment so it is clear what is what. I.e.: a. Bank of America, Visa. Original Balance: $2,500.00. Current Balance: 0.00. Status: Paid in full on 20 Jul 09. Attachment (1) provides proof of payment. b. Citibank Visa. Original Balance: $450.00. Current Balance: $200.00. Status: Company has agreed to monthly installments of $15.00 per month for x months. Attachment (2) provides acceptance of payment arrangements by Citibank and so on .... Hope that helps. Did they ask for a Personal Financial statement? If not, I would suggest drafting up a current budget that shows your income, assets and debt. I actually have an excellent excel spreadsheet I can send you if you want to send me your email address. It's automated so you simply type in the numbers and it does the math for you. Shows the adjudicators in a quick easy fashion what your status is. Make sure you have documentation for everything. Make sure you cover everything that is on your credit report and anything that isn't that could be an issue. If you are in the middle of an investigation, and additional things come up it will slow things down further. I'm talking about any accounts that are 30 days or more past due that may pop on your credit report in the near future. With all that said, if things work out and he gets a clearance, he may end up with what is called a "Conditional Clearance." What this means is they grant the clearance but warn him that any future derogatory information (esp financial) could result in the revocation of his clearance. When I say revocation I mean all the way down to a Confidential which could result in him being disqualified from his career field and future assignments. Please PM me if you have any questions.
