Divorcing - Not yet final - Can I get a USAA account?

I'm not sure how to go about doing it but I'm currently with BOA and I hate them. The divorce won't be final for at least 2 months, maybe longer depending on the idiot who won't sign them.

Anyone know how or if I can do that? We have 3 kids too, I have sole custody but he supplies benefits and child support - well he's SUPPOSED to but he's already defaulted the court order.

I married such a winner - man of the year.

I'm not sure. I have 2 accounts with only my name on them with USAA, and I am a spouse. Seems like you would be able to?

I would call USAA and see if a spouse of a military member can get an acct without the spouse on the acct.

ftr you can get your own account. I have several accounts in my name only.
USAA is for those eligible as long as you are a dependent you are eligible. as a matter of fact I had USAA membership before xh had his.
I also want to point out that your membership with USAA is your own. even if you get divorced it will always be your membership and your xh won't be able to access anything. USAA's policy is once a member always a member. So even if you are no longer a military spouse you will be able to keep your account. ( btw I called when things went south with the xh. )
