We could be better off, but I think we are managing very well. We don't struggle to pay our bills, and we have enough money in our savings to feel comfortable with. Now when we get my car, we might struggle a bit, until we are able to get into the groove of things again.

I said other just because dh got a 100k reenlistment bonus but I haven't found work yet and we're paying for two houses since my house has not sold yet....so our expenses far exceed our incoming funds at the moment. I don't really count that bonus money as regular bill type money. I'd like to save onto it, invest it, and when he gets out of the military have a very large chunk to use as a downpayment on a house....once I sell my house, I'll be using my money to pay off student loans and add to our pot.

I should add that I'm the most anal retentive saver of money in the world so the fact that our bills exceed our expenses at the moment is absolute torture on me. My house needs to sell like yesterday and oh boy do I need work.

i work for the state government and we have been issued paycuts due to the state's debt. i get paid at the beginning of every month and by the end of the month i am digging into my savings. this month has been especially bad because we lost a roommate and had to split the entire house rent. i am happy to have a job and happy to have the cushion of a savings account.

i'm in school still... i've got one more year of living on student loans. i feel like my sense of finances is all skewed from living on loans for so many years, but not having to pay any back yet!

DH is deployed and we currently pay 2 bills

We have plenty of money and are currently shoveling it all into savings

DH and I are ok. We were able to save a bunch of money with me working while he was deployed. Now that he's home though our rent doubled from moving and we are making all these purchases for our place I'm sure we won't be in as great of a place as I'd like. We have no debt though.

Our financial situation is a hot damn mess at the moment. Its because of this stupid house we rent. Hopefully we can move on post when our lease is up at the end of December. It will drastically improve if we can get on post and out of this house

We are managing...We don't live paycheck to paycheck and I don't work for an employer (aside from being a SAHM, which if you are one, you KNOW it is work)...I also go to school full time. When we move back to NC in Oct the money is going to be MUCH BETTER!
