Star card - Financial Management

Clicking the black box at the top takes you to the explainations..but I'm lost.

What is the difference between the Star card and the Take It Home Today option? I'm confused!

The Star Card is a credit card. Take it home today is a line of credit.

Take it home today is for major purchases, appliances, computers, furniture, etc.

Take it home today is essentially layaway.
and the star card will have interest.

No it is not. We have a take it home today account and it accures interest also. It is a major purchase plan.

Really?? when we did take it home today we had no interest. it was basically a major purchase layaway. they must have changed it.

If you are buying a washer and dryer anywhere between 15 and 28 May I would get the start card. They are running a promo where there is no interest, no payments for 6 months on any furniture or appliance purchase over $299. I personally think the interest rates for both the star card and take it home today are outrageous but star does a lot of no interest, no payment promos. The only time I have seen take it home today do any sort of promo was Oct-Dec 08.

The interest on DH's star card is like 9% and he had pretty bad credit when he got it.
