Darn USAA security breach!
DH was one of some 150,000 USAA members who received a new card in the mail a couple of weeks ago because a 3rd party gained access to bank information. The worse part is, not only USAA members were affected by this. My sister received the same notice.
No big deal. They sent him a new card and so we can move on, right? Wrong. They sent a card linked to our JOINT account. Not his personal checking. So now, he has 2 cards in his wallet, both for the joint account but one is deactivated. So we call and request a new card for his personal account. What do they send us? Another card attached to.... yep. The joint accoung.  So, 3 bank cards attached to the same account and no APO address to send a new card to because DH hasn't set one up yet in Italy.  Silly DH and even more silly USAA. Another card is being sent that is supposedly ( ) attached to his personal checking. We'll see!Anyone else have any issues with the security breach?

We also got cards for only our joint acct. I did not get one for my own acct. But in my case, I assume it's because only my joint acct was breached.
Which reminds me...I need to call and activate it.

i need to call and activate mine still. and dh is deployed, and he got a new one. if i activate mine and not his, will the one he has still work. iddk. i haven't had any problems so far with my account. i guess i'll just have to keep an eye on it till dh gets home to activate his new one.

I got a new Bank of the West card because of the same thing. I still need to go get a pin set up for it.

We got sent another copy of our credit card and I couldnt figure out why. No one ever mentioned a security breach or anything. Im confused now.

it happened to most major banks..... it happened with my credit union as well.... its just a safety precaution they are doing...
