Hiring a Financial Advisor
I'm curious if you can hire someone w/o money upfront.
I would like some help w/ budgeting and all that. I'm not talking about bill consolodation. But help getting our bills in order so that I'm not so frantic. I don't have money up front to hire someone. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or know of anyone that does this? Thanks!

You can check local social service places too. I know here the Women's Resource Center as well as the Community College have been offering free classes on budgeting and money management. It's not as personalized if you had someone one-on-one but it might be a good place to start. Maybe you can make friends with one of the teachers!
ETA: You can also check and see if there is a bartering place in your area. Back in my hometown there was a Bartering Center where you could register your business or services. You could then barter through them for services or goods that you needed. |
