Family SGLI Life Insurance?

Does anyone use them? My husband is active and they offer Life Insurance.

OK well I'm having issues... I want coverage on me for 100,000... if I die will the money go to my Husband automatically? Or can I change who it goes to?

How much do they deduct each month?

Life insurance coverage for my husband is automatic correct? $400,000 or something like that right?

I'm trying to get organized we currently are trying to have kids / get pregnant

I have no idea about the beneficiary. I never set it up. I just looked at the LES and it was there. It's $5.50 a month. I don't think you're husband has to sign up for SGLI. Check his LES to make sure. It's $27 a month for $400,000.

You can designte your life insurance policy to whomever you want to receive it. It does not have to be your spouse.
