When you pay everything with cash you dont have to worry about credit scores!
Dave Ramsey taught me that. Now I just need to find all that cash

Paying the bills. We were utilizing our credit and paying it off every month, until we started shopping for Christmas

Keeping the balances below 40% (except for one).
Making minimum payments on all and paying off the highest interest rate (actually it's the only one with an interest rate) and "snowballing". Our payments are up to about $800 for the snowball account. (ETA: I know that switching cards to get the 0% rate isn't the best for our credit, but it means we save money and pay off our debt faster, so in return it will mean a better score in the end). Stopped opening store accounts.. I have one at each store that I frequently go to and use them to get the discounts and pay them off immediately. We don't use credit cards at all anymore except for major purchases, and only if we have the cash to pay it off immediately. |

You can always tell the Dave Ramsey fans when it comes to credit scores
Ditto to no need for a credit score when you use cash
