Income Tax Returns.....
After the discussions the other day about tax returns....I got to wondering....
Would you rather get a large return once a year, or more money throughout the year?? I hear alot of people say things like 'when my tax return comes I'm getting.....such and such'

While we are in debt, I would rather get it at the end of the year and dump it on debt. Once we are out of debt, we will get it each check and invest it.

I don't mind the way it is, because it gives us something to look forward to... We're taking DD to disneyland when we get our check this time. She has no idea!

Well, Jason claims no deductions through out the year so we get a large lump sum each year at tax time. I actually like it that way b/c it gives us something to look forward to and I like being able to use it towards a nice treat for us, like a new piece of furniture or just a small shopping spree at walmart for some "wants" instead of necessities.

I like it all at one time, we put the majority of ours in savings and just spend a little. I think if it came a little at a time I'd be more apt to spend it, lol.

I know here there is some child tax credit.
In Canada we got the Child Tax Benefit. It was monthly benefit based on income and family size. For three kids when I was not working it was $750 a month. Then for kids under 5 you also got another $100 bucks or so to be used if you were using childcare, or if you wanted to stay home. We never got big returns, but the monthly was nice. Oh well, back to work for me.
