I have always carried one and automatically transferred money every payday.

not this year, have in the past.. I like Navy Fed's because it's technically not a christmas account, so you can start it one whenever you want.

See if your bank has the option for you to have an additional savings account that is attached to your regular savings account. Some banks have a lock on when you can withdraw the money (December Only), while others you can use the money whenever.

Oh awesome. Maybe Mike and I will consider doing that next year with Navy Fed.

I'll tell you, it lifts the financial stress of not having money at the holidays.....I really recommend people to start one - especially when you have kids!

Yes, we have one that gets $50 a paycheck. It saves our ass come the holiday season
