Would you say you were in debt?

I am ! I have never been out of debt.

I am a compulsive buyer.

We have several debts.

DH has several small student loan debts to pay off
We are almost done paying off our furniture credit card debt (zero interest/financing though!)
We have a small amount of credit card debt due to some recent big car repairs and doctor bills
And we owe my parents a large sum - but it is interest free and they won't accept payments until after we graduate.

Yes, we are in debt, but working very hard to get out of it so we can buy a home (and therefore once again be in debt!

But mortgages (that you can afford) are GOOD debt

We own a house. Yeah, we're in debt. But if we wanted to sell, the equity would pay off every other bill we have (cars, etc.).

We have a school bill, but I don't count that as debt. It's almost paid off.

We have 2 credit cards, but I pay them in full 2x's a month- so that's not really debt either. I am using them to improve our credit scores. We use them for gas and food. It actually helps keep us in our budget.

Years ago, we were in debt. We had a lot of bumps in the road, but we fixed it. Being in debt gives me anxiety so we will NEVER do that again.

I have heard wonderful things about Dave Ramsey from many people! Like, if you want a new car, put all the money you would spend on payments in savings and buy the car outright.

Nope we are not in debt. I mean yes we have a truck payment, but I don't count that as debt. We paid off all the credit cards & cut them up. So we don't live beyond our means anymore. If we want something we save for it or we don't get it.

We're homeowners...therefore, we are in debt. We also have a car payment. But just one, so that's a bonus
