    The L Word

Has anyone ever seen this show?

It came out back in 2004 on Showtime-- which of course I didn't see since I didn't have even regular cable from 2004-2007 and certainly not premium channels!

But now I'm watching it on Netflix and I it! It's basically like Sex & The City but with lesbians. I just finished season 1 yesterday.

I did. Back when it came out. I liked it at first but at some point, it kinda started sucking. I still stuck with it till the end though

I did not know it's on Netflix though... have to go look for it

It's the entropy of all good shows, I think. Eventually they have to wind down. I felt the same about Sex & The City too.

It just got a little ridiculous, in my opinion. I never thought it was the greatest show ever and some story lines were a little out there, but I loved Alice And it was a show about lesbians in a time where there weren't that many lesbians on tv, so that alone had me watching (aka buying the dvds cause I'm not sure if it even was on tv here, though I assume it was at some point)

It definitely is entertaining and has toooons of drama

omg -- soooooo much drama! The worst part is that my husband came in when I was watching it and was like, "oh wow... you look like her." (Jenny). And I was like, "Noooooo you really don't want to make that comparison!"

Oh my... that's the last person I'd want to be compared to and the drama never stops... how far into the show are you now? So I know what I can and cannot say

RIGHT?!!! Luckily, it was based on physical appearance alone.

I just finished Season 1 and started the first episode of season 2. I'm so upset that the Ivan/Kit storyline didn't play out further.

I loved that show when it was on! Lesbian soap opera. I was a big Shane fan, I thought she was awesome with all of her issues. I liked Alice a lot, too! And Tina, and Dana! Man, I may need to watch it again.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible not to love Shane.

I also actually really liked that Ivan character who was courting kit. He seemed sweet. I wish they'd developed that more.
