    Wtf...
Im all for home births, but to go out of your way to leave the house, and go outside to give birth is just weird.
Anyone else cath the show? It's on lifetime.

I haven't seen the show but my birth class recommended searching youtube for natural births and there are some that are outside. I saw one video that was just way too much for my brain to handle. My birth center would let you deliver outside on the patio areas, but in 700+ births no one ever has.

I watched a youtube video a long time ago of some lady squatting near a lake or something giving birth

I think it's weird and dirty. I understand some of the appeal of a home birth but why outside? I guess it makes for easy cleanup.

Omg, I watched it last night. This family was just insane, IMO.

I thought this was going to be about people that already live in the wild. Nope, these people travel to these remote locations, just to give birth in the wild.

At least this family does already live remotely, but goodness the people that travel are nuts.

I just couldn't understand waiting to give birth on those crazy ass rocks. Then, when that got flooded the mosquito pit next to the house looked even worse.

She's screaming sooo much! Goodness! She needs to be in a hospital where her kids can't hear her screaming

I agree. Only that they probably have a team on standby. Not that it could prevent every tragedy but I assume they have at least some fall back plan. I cannot understand risking your child's and your own life.
