    Staind goes country?

    Advertisements
So I just found out that the lead singer of Staind, Aaron Lewis, went solo and has a country song out called "Country Boy".

YouTube - AARON LEWIS - "Country Boy" (Official Video)

Personally, yes I love it. But I also love Staind. Do I love it as country? No. Why? Because honestly the only thing in that song that I see is country is the word country in the title It just sounds too alternative rock for me to say "Hey this is a good country song."

    What do you guys think?

    be cool.

Staind I was sooo excited I got to see these guys pass through with Breaking Benjamin (whom I must say put on an excellent show) and I always find myself going back and listening to Staind. I agree it doesnt sound country, and sometimes I wonder if what Kid Rock is doing is called Country when it sounds more Alternative to me anyway.

I love this song... I would call it more southern rock sound I guess... I don't like to fit music into genres.... I just like music and don't care what "genre" it belongs to. I like everything.

DH started listening to it about two months ago and he has since played it over and over and over and over and over, etc,...

I like it. I also like "Welcome Home" by Rehab.

Sounds like Southern Rock to me, which qualifies for country these days.
