Where the Wild Things Are
Saw it on Sat night, and it's just a stunning movie visually. I have to admit, the movie was kind of sad, I dunno that kids would really 'get' it, and I kinda feel it's more of an adult movie. Not because of explicit content, I dunno, I guess it just seems kinda heavy for a kids movie. I loved this book as a kid, now I wanna go and buy it again

Was the message too complex (like in Wall-E) or did it just not have a child's movie feel (like the 2003 Peter Pan)?

Oh I wanna see it! I love watching kid type movies now that I'm an adult because now I understand all of the adult themes/puns/jokes

I just personally didn't feel it has a child's movie feel to it. I mean, besides the cool looking monsters, I think the message was a little more thought provoking. I mean, this is a troubled child, and you really have to be able to pick up his comparisons within the monsters to "get" it. I mean, even J and I after the movie were like, so then was so and so supposed to be so and so? And on some parts I would think it would be a little scary for some very small children. Anyway, I totally recommend the movie for adults
