Question 3D movies & the glasses

    Advertisements
Does anyone know....if you go to one of the 3D movies and you pay the extra 3.50 it costs to see the movie (I am assuming for the glasses).....If you go to see another 3D movie and still have your glasses, can you just use them instead of paying the extra 3.50 per ticket again?

3.50 extra on top of an already expensive ticket each for 5 people...is a lot of money

My theater won't let you, they still make you pay the extra $3.50.

DB used to work at a theatre before basic...
You SHOULD NOT keep the glasses. The recycling boxes they have are actually put to use. The tickets used to be an extra $2.50 for 3-d movies, but it went up, nationally, because people were not returning the glasses. I yelled at my sister when she tried to keep hers lol.

Apparently, rumor in the theatre biz is that by next year 60% of movies will be 3-d...so the more we recycle the glasses, the less likely it is for the cost to go up
He's home! I can't stop my smiling DB

Our theater has a policy where you can get crap glasses for free or pay for the better ones and can keep them. though I haven't been to a 3-d movie in awhile.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

Well according to my mom (she is the one that took the kids to the 3D movie recently...they didn't have a box or anywhere to put the glasses, so they brought them home. They are pretty nice glasses! Not those flimsy ones they used to use.

When we went to the movies this weekend..... I did see outside of a 3D movie there a box to recycle the glasses. So I dunno if it was just a fluke at her theater or what.

I really hope that 60% of the movies don't really become 3D movies....I'm not a huge fan of 3D and that would really suck.

As far as the cost I think it is pretty sucky if they make you pay an extra 3.50 per ticket and you can't or are not supposed to keep the glasses for future 3D movies
