    Question War movies?

    Advertisements
Does anyone have any suggestions for good WWII (or any war really) movies? My dad really likes them so I'm thinking of getting him some for Christmas but I don't really know of any except the really famous ones like Saving Private Ryan, etc. which he already has. Thank you!!

The Deer Hunter is a really effed up and disturbing Vietnam story, but it is also an amazing movie.

Are you looking for old ones or new ones?

    EDIT:
    Enemy at the Gates
    Windtalkers
    Flags of Our Fathers

    Memphis Belle
    A Bridge Too Far
    Tora! Tora! Tora!
    The Longest Day
    To Hell and Back
    Twelve O'Clock High
    Guns of Navarone
    The Great Escape
    The Dirty Dozen
    Midway
    Battleground
    From Here to Eternity
    The Thin Red Line

Sorry, I listed ones that I can think of that I really like. My dad has a thing for war movies, and I think I inherited it (except I can't really watch them now)...I think I know like them all, many by heart. The first ones are newer, the rest are just good older ones.

It's not really a movie per se.. It's a TV Series, Band of Brothers. It's good. DH loves it.
