Drilling of oil in America's National forests, parks, reserves, or anything else of the sort. They are protected now, but believe it or not there are people who want to dismiss those restrictions and drill there to avoid dependence on foreign oil. I would not freaking stand for it. I'd be one of those crazies tied to a tree somewhere. They need to keep their grubby hands off of places like the Green River. We have plenty of resources for renewable energy, I think we need to kick the oil dependence altogether, not drill up the most beautiful places in this country.

There are a few other issues, some going on right now and in the past few years that I would actively protest if I was able to, but my husband and I were just talking about this one today, so I figured it would be the one I'd post.

If after this next cycle MD addressed gay marriage in a serious way I will attend any and all rallies and marches in support of gay marriage.

I would totally go to a pro-choice rally but they are foolish as it is a done issue

I wish I could attend a LOT of the protests here in Annapolis but working for a legislator makes it a bit of a conflict

Budget cuts for schools, art programs, etc.

gay rights. legalizing gay marriage. (i am PRO)
animal cruelty. (i am against, and i will protest the f out of the circus)
HEALTHCARE. (i am pro UHC, and i will protest till the cows come home)

i have protested for some state issues concerning education in florida - keeping Bright Futures scholarships merit based; keeping electives (art/music) in public high schools during budget cut years.

i was in student gov't in college for 3+ years, and i was very vocal and public about supporting the PRIDE club, and increasing their funding to reflect their membership size. (public school = tax dollars are part of club budgets) PRIDE club = GLBT, highest membership numbers, and had one of the lowest budgets; budgets for public university student organizations are voted on by the student senate... so i went very public about supporting the club.

Protests in support of gay marriage. For sure.

When the war in Iraq started I went to 4 or 5 protests against that. It felt good.

Um. I don't know. Those for sure just off the top of my head.

ETA: DUH. Pro Universal Health Care with the public option.

Any animal cruelty/rights/whatever protests/activism.
