Obama giving college credits?

My cousin's DH posted this.

"Can you believe our President is giving college credit for helping him push socialized medicine and yet again calling it "community organizing?" He's a great marketer; a lousy upholder of the Constitution of the U.S., but a great mark...eter!!!! Check out HIS "push coalition"

I already posted and told him, that really doubted the President could/was doing that.

Then, Dh's aunt posted this.

"HE isn't giving college credit (just encouraging it). The school has to offer or approve the credit, and some are. University=liberal....no surprise".

I told her I would do some research, because I find it pretty far-fetched.
Do you all know anything about this?

have heard nothing. however went on a massive deleting of my inbox and didn't read some of the emails from the demo party. so I can't say for certain. however sounds like propaganda to me.

I swear it's exhausting keeping up with the misinformation in my family.
So anything I am not familiar with, I have to research. I could ignore it, but my pet peeve is propaganda.

They think I am attacking them, I get they don't like Obama, no big deal. But lies and misinformation don't benefit anyone and makes you and your party look like morons.

It is amazing to me that people get away with spreading obvious falsehoods and lies like they do. Does no one research anymore? How does this stuff go viral? First Obama wants to kill grandma and now he is handing out college credits himself for pushing socialized medicine? It's ridiculous. Common sense, not so common...

I'm wondering how the transcript would read? For example, what would you present to the niversity of Virginia that says that you've earned three credits in community organizing? The U would ask "On whose authority? What's the acreditation status of that awarding body?"

Schools get to decide what credits they will or won't accept. They're nto going to allow "credit" in community organizing unless they have some sort of class or activity that actually offers comparable credit.

For the record, the idea of credit for "life experience" is not a new innovation; it's been done for years. Still, colleges and/or accrediting bodies can only award credit in areas that they offer comparable credit fo one of their courses.

I asked them for a link where it specifically says that Obama is giving college credits
