I know people, both white and black, who raged about GW and I also know both white and black who rage now. (not really rage, but you kwim)

The healthcare reform, no matter if you are for or against, is a BIG change so it uproars BIG emotions in people, good or bad.

Ummm, I saw it. Healthcare reform is going to impact everyone in America in a very direct and huge way. That's why so many people are speaking out about it.

These people are so irrational, so full of hatred and vitriol, there is no negotiating with them, not rationalizing with them, no engaging in positive debate.

A large percentage of people on the right now believe that Obama is not a citizen by birth, some polls even showing up to 48%. This kind of witchhunt is largely unprecedented.

And unprovoked. He is trying to pass a healthcare bill. Not bomb a country.

If he WAS trying to bomb a country, I'd bet everyone would be a lot nicer to him too. Somehow people don't understand how to appreciate it when something is done to try and HELP you, it makes more sense to them to hurt others. This ****ing country. I'm seriously so disillusioned right now, and I REALLY didn't think this would happen 6 months ago. I thought nothing could ruin my "we've got a great president" good mood.

States run their politics alot different from us, here the people tend to have all the power, the governement usually sways with the masses. The states not so much. I am all for healthcare reform in the states, and I think that obama is doing what needed to be done 10 years ago. The problem is, people hate change, even when they need it most.
