Hmmm - curious! - Election & Politics

If the presidential candidate died or was otherwise incapacitaded AFTER winning the election but BEFORE being sworn into office - who would be president? Still their VP, I'm presuming?

The VP is then sworn in instead. A new VP is chosen by the President, and must be approved by the Congressional members of the same party.

No she means - if, let's just say, John McCain is elected today. He passes away tomorrow. Who will be sworn in in January?

When Harrison died, the country was at a loss as to how to proceed. Like, OMGZ, the thought never even crossed their minds that an almost 70 year old guy could die in office.

And then what?!?!?! Is he President? Is he still the VICE President? Do we elect ANOTHER Vice President?

Sheer chaos. Loves it.
