I'm not saying I discount it as a possibility, and I happen to be an intelligent design kind of gal underneath all the bluff and bluster, but I lean more toward the intelligence behind the design used evolution as the tool, rather than "Bam! There you go. A shiny new world for these two humans to populate and hold dominion over." Creationism isn't a theory. It's either a religious fact or a baseless myth. There's no middle ground. There's no theory to it.

Theology and religious beliefs should be taught at home or in church/temple.

I've just really had it with this woman. She inquired how to go about banning books. That makes her less than human in my eyes. I think policy wise, there's absolutely nothing worse than a book banning/burning brigade. Nothing. |

She was asked in a debate and she did answer that creationism should be taught in school. As far as I know, she did not try to push that through. I actually read the 2006 article. Yes, 2006, that was when she was in a debate for her 1st term as Gov.

She's shown herself to be corrupt and unscrupulous when she went on a massive power trip after being appointed Mayor of her charming little town--I can only imagine what she'd do with a Vice President position and millions of mouth breathing fundies backing her every move. |

What do you think of it being a "rhetorical exercise"? Do you think she was doing it just to get opinions on it or was she really wanting to ban books? This is where I found my info, I don't know if there is somewhere better to look, this was just the first thing I found in my search : http://www.gamepolitics.com/2008/09/...ried-ban-books |
