I seem to remember one of the Bush twins getting in trouble for underage drinking- hell I seem to remember doing that myself. Maybe I am just old and teenagers don't do that stuff anymore

My opinion, in my best conspiratorial tone:
The McCain camp knew about all of this. They actually leaked it. He doesn't want her as a VP running mate. He picked her to show that he was "progressive" and willing to pick a conservative. She will soon drop out, and he will replace her with a more moderate, male.
Very similar to what bush did with Miers for the Supreme Court.

They were big party girls, weren't they? Wasn't there a huge thing about it? And you're right, people are forgetting that these are teens. Most of the people who are scrutinizing her probably had premarital sex and drank while underage as well!

it does suck that (im assuming these are from myspace most likely) shes under so much scrutiny but shes not the only one my sister and all of her other pageant cohorts are told there myspaces are fair game to the pageant board because they are supposed to be "role models" and the girl who won our hometowns pageant this year actually has a chance of being decrowned because of hers(its under "investiagtion currently" also myspace is being used in courts and "gang" members have been arrested because of their myspaces. a girl at ym school died when she drove her four wheeler off a cliff (she was drunk) and because she had pictures all over her myspace of her drinking all the time and someone had pictures of her drinking from that night something happened in the court case where her insurance company wouldnt pay out beccause of the accident(im not sure the whoel story on that one just bits and pieces) so this day and age someone should really think twice about everything they put on there whether they are directly in the public eye or not. if these were private pictures that someone submitted to the media then thats not fair whatsoever im willing to be the majority of us drank under the age of 21

Oh most definitely. I still feel bad for Bristol though. Not only does she share a name of a speedway (and shares the name with one of my mom's dogs) but she's just being a teen and I don't even want to know what the atmosphere in that house is right now!

You may have something there..... Sarah Palin was chosen to be thrown under the bus.

As for the minor child- a complete non-issue.
