People are so effing retarded. For one, the guy's not a muslim. He CHOSE a different religion after being raised by muslims. Secondly, even if he was muslim, it's a very peace loving religion with heretics, just like every other religion with heretics. It's like saying Christians were responsible for the Holocaust. Uh, no. Third, ignorant stupid people who have to resort to "omg his name has the word bomb in it" (which, by the way, ignorant person, there is no second b, so just because it sounds the same doesn't mean it is..) are just like the stupid asinine people who say "I'll never vote in a country run by men named bush, ****, and colon" (Colin Powell)

I hate ignorant people who don't know what they are talking about but think they are "smart" to make comments like what the OP's friend wrote. Do research before you make a statement. You just embarass yourself when people point out your mistake and ignorance.

Put simply - I think she's ignorant..but she's not the only one out there that is. My own father says he doesn't like Obama because his name sounds too much like Osama. But anyone here that has known me for any length of time knows my father is not exactly on my top ten list of favorite people anyways.

It just drives me batty that people could THINK such idiotic thoughts...and the fact that they put those thoughts into actual spoken words and sentences - well - just goes to show an unrivaled lack of intelligence, not to mention poor judgement. If you're going to have political views, find political reasons to back them up.

I totally agree!!!! I don't get why people are so ignorant. It baffles me!

ugh, someone posted something similar on a livejournal community i'm in. i'll say the same thing i told her:

(a) obama is not muslim, he's christian
(b) even if he WAS muslim, who cares?? we're fighting religious fanatics, not every muslim on the planet.
