Who will be America's next president?
I was gonna ask 'Who will you vote for?' but that's kinda personal and is non of my business...but I'm curious as a non-American...I know what a lot of Germans think but what do YOU think? Explanations would be great!

I think it will be a Democrat. Unless the Republicans REALLY change their tune when it comes to how we should deal with Iran. Most Americans do NOT want another war. They don't even want one of the ones we are already in.
Which Democrat though... I don't know. LOL. You have to tell us what a lot of Germans think! I am curious. I was gonna ask my friend Hanna who is German the other day and I forgot. LOL. You can PM me if you don't want to say it on here!

They also think that Obama is not gonna win cuz he is black and American is still not over the whole slavery thing...... People around here are very strange tho..I live out in the country of Bavaria..so especially the older ones just have no clue...is sad and funny at the same time. I really don't know whom I would vote for...I know to few about the candidates adn I don't even know whose gonna be candidate. I know a few but not all of them.

I also think it'll be a democrat, unless Hilary wins the nom. I just don't see her winning an election.
![]() I just read what you said about the views from Germany and I think that's really intersting! ![]() I personally would have envisioned Obama over Clinton, but they can't both win the nom so ![]() I think Hilary is in the lead anyway, as far as supporters go.

I'd prefer it to be Obama over Clinton... if it has to be a democrat.. I'm a republican (usually) and am considering voting for Obama.

I think it will be a dem... and I am putting my money on John Edwards if he gets the nom... he really is focusing on some very important issues, but being realistic as to the political culture at this moment.
He also (along with Dodd) generally totally smokes the other candidates in debates. |

I think it will be a democrat as well. I think it's going to be really interesting since the two front runners both have something major going *against* them. Not that I think being a woman or being of a certain race should matter, but we all know that in many people's minds it does.
I still haven't decided, although I really like Obama. As much as I know *I* am all for a black president, I still have fears about what would happen in this country if something were to happen to him though. If his life or one of his family members was targeted openly for his race (and heaven forbid if someone successfully did something awful) then I can't imagine the turmoil this country would be in. An attempt on the President's life causes so much anxiety and turmoil. But if race was a contributing factor, I think we'd be in a meltdown of extreme proportions. That scares me.

I think it's still anybody's game on both sides of the fence. However, I don't think America is ready for a female President. I just think there are too many males (and many females) out there who wouldn't vote for a female.
I'm very serious about my politics and I have no clue who I'm going to vote for! This is a first for me. I always know who I'm gonna vote for. lol!! |
