New MOMMY and LOVING it !!!!

Help help help
My husband is currently out to sea and I just started working at a new job. It's more professional than any of my previous jobs and it's been difficult adjusting. My hubbie can call but not to often and when I'm at work I can't talk to him. I have seen some girls talk on their phones but they have been there for years. I don't want to give the impression as someone who won't work and talks on the phone and our calls can be long sometimes because they are so rare and I never want to let him go. So my situation is I want to talk to my husband and I feel so down when I can't but I don't want to look bad at work. Any ideas, tips, or comments to help me with this problem?

Thanks for the advise but when he can call its only at a set time between waking up and starting work and I did ask my boss and she said we're not allowed to have cell phones. I guess I will just have to get use to not talking to him. Good thing we still got email even though hearing his voice is so much better.
I have found out that being a Navy wife is no walk in the park and it's all about sacrifices.

My dh and I made sacrafices if that meant me getting a call in the middle of the night or him calling right before bed for him. We both made it work but we didn't have 1000 dollar phone bills either.
I think this last time we spent a total of 100 on phone calls! Nothing exciting to talk about considering we did email often. and we got used to not haveing the luxeries of phones and emails. if that makes sense |

I agree with everybody ,I think though your boss should let you use the phone on occasion being that he is serving our country ,The business community can give a little to those who serve and those who are the spouse !

Maybe you can make a compromise that if he calls the time you take away from work will count as your lunch hour?
