    The Love Dare during Deployment?

    Advertisements
Have you ever tried the Love Dare during deployment or otherwise separated for the full 40 days?

If you can't talk to your SO every day, did you find other ways to complete the tasks? did it help you feel closer?

    Thanks!

DF and I were gonna try it during BCT and write about our reflections, but got too complicated, especially since its hard to communicate. We are doing it when she's back I can imagine it be hard to do while deployed, though. Maybe do the devotional part, and the actual dares do them when he comes back?

"God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt
And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, itís true
    God gave me you"

The communication in AFghan sucks right now. all I can hear from him is "hi babe" and then the line drops. This sounds like a good idea, though.

my last deployment (I was deployed) the chaplain actually had a class that we could do the love dare. I wanted to do it but it was during my off hours and after working 12 hours and then the gym, I just wanted to sleep.

But they did it where you could try it communicating through email or do it on your own as a self reflection of how you view/treat your relationship. It is doable during deployment though, just need patience and understanding as communication is more difficult.

Didn't know if you knew about this link, but this is what DF and I did. We didn't do one everyday, we tried to do one every other day or so. It was nice and this site made it so much easier.
