Kind of depressing - During Deployment

Ethan brought home a paper today about Veternan's Day. His school is doing a free lunch for Veternan's. The kids can bring a Veternan to lunch. Great right?

Except J is deployed. And my baby will have to sit there with a lot of Army guys and miss his daddy.

Maybe you can send him with pictures that he can share with his friends? Or something special?

Poor guy. Well hopefully everyone will pick up on it and talk to him and make him feel really good about what his dad is doing.

I'd make a shirt with your DH's picture on it, wear it, and go with him to lunch!!! Of course I'd pay for my lunch

So then your DS can point to your shirt and say "That's my dad! He's deployed right now" and be able to have someone there with him.

I would do something that will make it easy for him to talk about where his dad is. Do you have any military family or friends around that could go with him?

I was going to suggest bringing a photo but this idea is great!
