Well.. guess I belong here now - During Deployment

So I just said goodbye to DB...

We just stood by his truck holding each other for a while, but he had to go... then I wanted to watch him drive away, so I told him to drive slow so I could run back to my apartment. Then I waved goodbye to him as he drove down the street until I couldn't see his tail lights anymore.

So yeah... he's going off to training and then he'll be in Kuwait for like a year... *sigh* ugh goodbyes are hard...

We did notice the moon was really big when we were saying goodbye, and I was like "it's a sign of good luck" lol...

Welcome? Not that this is the place you necessarily want to be but everyone has been super sweet so far

Start the countdown until he comes home and appreciate the small milestones!! Right now I'm happy to have gotten one week down, lol

1 day turns into one week, a few weeks into a month...it's really scary at first, it was for me. But if you're anything like me or the wonderful ladies I've become friends with you WILL find a routine, you WILL feel better about it and you WILL wonder where the time went when this all starts to wind down!

I bet it's hard to believe any of that right now...we're almost done and I remember how pitiful, low and scared I felt those first few days...it got better. I made it. You will too!

Thanks girls! It doesn't feel like he's really gone this time and that I won't get to hold him for over a year... at least not yet.

Now I've just gotta start making some more friends here lol.
