Question, Enterprise Girls????
Uh, anyone keeping up with the Newletters????
I did not know that King Neptune was contacting the ship????!!!!! Did any of you know this???? I thought they weren't suppose to, ya know, do what you need to do to become a ShellBack????!!!!!!!!!!!Im sorry, I just think that is so cool for DH!!!!!!!!! He's a Pollywog but now he will get to be a ShellBack!!!!!! Did anyone know about this, I have the date they are coming on board but I wasn't sure I could post it cause that was information I wasn't sure if I could post, know what I mean!!

I just want to say that is so cool they are getting to do that. I feel that is a part of tradition that needs to stay in the Navy.

I've seen them get hit with water and have to do weird things but what exactly they do, I don't know. I know what area of the planet they need to be at and thats a shocker to me!!!! :inshock But Im so xcited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It varies on what they do. And alot like to keep it "Secret" It's one of those proud ship moments. My husband is a golden shellback or something like that. He's crossed many times.
Some times they make ya eat some not so tasty things, crawl around on hands and knees, sprayed with water, and alot more. It really varies. It is all in good fun and I think it is a GREAT tradition and 1 I hope never goes away

My dh had to eat a raisen out of his chiefs belly button that was covered in PB.
but none the less it is harmless fun. My uderstanding is that it basically an obstacle course of many events. You have to get from point A to point B and that anyone can send you back for any reason to start over.

Thats pretty cool...glad they are getting to do that!!
I wonder if my dh will ever get to have that much fun...LOL...8 years and still hasn't reached that point...though they will be close with this deploy...oh well
