Bumming out

So, I'm almost half way through this deployment and I usually hear from DH 2 to 3 times per week on either IM or email and I get a phone call every week. Well, I have heard from him in over a week and it's starting to drive me nuts. Even just a short email that says I'm around just really busy with work. I guess I've just gotten really really spoiled w/ contact during deployments.

Yeah you have been pretty lucky. I wish I had that much contact with my db. You'll hear from him soon though.

Aw I'm sorry. I know when I don't hear from DB it drives me nuts too. Maybe go for a walk to take up some of the time or read a book. That's what I usually do. Except my ass has been planted to the couch for most of the day and on the computer. Never a good combination.

I talk to my DH everyday, and when I don't hear from him, I get just like you do! I'm spoiled too. It has it's ups and downs doesn't it? I'm sure you'll hear from him soon. Remember that if he could contact you, he would in a heart beat! So don't worry too much and remember he loves you

You definitely are fortunate to have regular contact - I won't even tell you how many weeks/months I go without any at all LOL - hang in there, I know it's difficult, he'll contact you just as soon as he can.

Yes you are spoiled lol. I get a call from DH once every two weeks or so...this time he got to call me within a week of his last call...I felt so lucky lol. Sometimes its a month before my DH calls...Hes okay I'm sure. He is probably just busy. No news is good news. Sorry that he hasn't called Im sure he will asap!

I can completely relate! I tend to freak out too and hate myself when I do

Lately, he's been as great as he can be deployed. My BFF knocked some sense into me last night, trying to get me to remember to not punish DB for the sins of an exDB.

When you are used to regular contact like that, it's really hard to be out of touch. I'm sure he's just super busy and exhausted. I hope you hear from him soon.

Thanks Ladies. I know that I'm pretty spoiled, but for some reason this deployment is harder on me than the last two. I think it's because it's our last one for a while since DH goes on shore duty next year.
