webcam makeup....I'm talkin serious lipgloss - During Deployment

OK so for REAL DB and I are kind of spoiled and get to webcam pretty much on a weekly basis. Well, I treat it like I would a date if he were home. I do my hair, I put on a cute outfit, but the camera pic is so washed out and crappy I have started to use a PUTTY KNIFE

to apply my makeup and it works ... tons of dark lipstick with a heavy gloss over it, black eyeliner on top and bottom lids, darker eye shadow than I would EVER normally wear. Yep I have to wash my face immediately after but I'm tellin you its worth the effort

Anyone else find themselves doing Glamour shot makeup pre-webcam...I know how very Diva

I never get dressed but me and dh webcam every day. Most the time in my pajamas with bed head lol. He comes on at 7 am

I think that's sweet. We can't webcam... can't even email pictures to him. But when I send pictures via snail mail, I make sure I'm all dolled up!

i try to look as nice as possible, but sometimes hes like GET ON WEBCAM and i have to stop flossing my teeth, comb my rats nest (hair), and change out of my sweats and long sleeved t into a cleavage shirt...but he'll tell me im beautiful always

does he have internet access? If so this is what DB and i did I went and bought a logitech (Target) that hooks into your USB port for each of us. I shipped him his and even before he had internet in his room we used it in the common area I think maybe he could hook his laptop in there. He wore a headset and talked softly (ok I did a lot of the talking but it was good just to see him!!!) We used AIM at first but now we use Skype its free to download and the pic and sound qaulity are great. In fact the sound is waaaay better than the cell phone connection over there for the most part.

Maybe you can try???

I love skype and my webcam! We also bought logitechs. I get dolled up sometimes. Most of the time, i don't though. Usually he's waking me up in the morning.

Besides we're already married. He's stuck now !

I probably would if I wore make up... But I dont. So I look the same on the webcam as I do in person. I hate the fact that my webcam gives my face a blue glow.
But when Drew and I webcam I just make sure my hair doesnt look stupid!

I usually wear my "support the troops" shirts and stuff

We don't get webcam very often because the internet in Kenya is too slow to support it. It makes the computer crash. BUT sometimes when he's on missions and staying in hotels or in Djibouti we get webcam. SO, I definitely get all dolled up. And yes, I have to wear much more makeup then normal to look myself. Haha, just glad no one else sees me!
