something to think about - During Deployment

OK...so I hes leaving soon and i got a date after its been changed and changed again...its soon...so tonight i actually opened up on the phone with him and cried a little (ok a lot) and hes asked me what was making me so upset...

I said its just because its so long

And he replied...ok I want you to go home and put a measuring tape on the ground and measure out 26 feet and 6 inches...he said you have to see how long that is...and he told me that that is the world record for long jump...and hes like doesn't that seem long to you, and i said yes...and he said yea someone jumped that..they DID it...he was like i want you to think of these 15 months like that...its LONG but we CAN do it...

I know its deep...but i think its really true...

aww that is such a sweet thing of him to say...yes 15 months is very long but I know that waiting for my DB is worth it...the happiness we have together is worth the wait to continue that happiness when he gets home. Be strong girly!!! You can do it!!! We all can do it!!!

I am going through 6 months right now for the first time and having a hard time. I know this does not help you in any way and don't know what to tell you to cheer you up, but we are all here. We all have day or days that we think we go crazy and we cannot do it. But so many of you here are doing it and I am sooooo amazed how all of you are strong to be there for your men. I think we are able to handle this, so we are given the task.
