I need to hear his voice
I want a phone call so bad. I haven't heard from him since he left about a week ago. I just got a text from one of the women whose husband deployed with DF and she said that she already got a phone call yesterday. I've been good so far but I really just need to hear his voice. Every time the phone rings I get my hopes up.
 How long did ya'll have to wait for your first call?

 Two weeks for the first and another 2 weeks for the 2nd call. But now I've gotta wait one month for the next call. I hope you get a call soon!

I waited three weeks! Its tough but Db couldn't call because he had to move to a new base where they had to build it from the ground up.. communications didn't come through for three weeks and I was just sitting at home praying that he was ok over there! The first phone call was the best! I was going through withdrawals from not hearing from him! But It happens.. I will go weeks without a phone call but thats because he is so busy he really dosen't have time.. Thats the military life I guess! I really hope you get a phone call soon though! I am here for ya if you ever need someone to talk to!

I guess I was very lucky. I got calls within the first week. Every situation is different though depending on the duty station and the schedule. I am sure he is thinking about you and wanting to call you too. Hang in there, be prepared though cuz that phone call will probably be short if calls are that hard to make, there will probably be a lot people waiting for the phone.

I had to wait 4 days to get his call before he was in Afghanistan, a layover. Then it was about another week before I got a 10 min. phone call. Now we try and talk everyday.
hang in there you will get your call! and hopefully many more after that!

DB has been gone for about 2 weeks and I still have not received a phone call but I've received emails. I know he's busy, but like you would like to hear his voice.
