Frustrated with the Afghanistan war! - Deployment Support Groups

Is anyone else frustrated with the government? My bf is in Afghanistan right now and i keep seeing on the news how they are putting them in places where they can't easily defend themselves and don't have the equipment to protect themselves. I don't want to see more people get deployed than needs to be but i don't want the men and women over there now in more danger than they need to be. The President needs to get on the ball and start trying to protect our soldiers! Sorry i'm venting this is just frustrating to hear these things. If anyone agrees please let me know.

Perhaps this should be in debates.

The war there has been going on for quite some time and where are you hearing all of this "reputable" information?

Do you know how much it would cost to give each and every solider everything they needed to protect themselves? they already have HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars worth of equipment on them. anymore, they wouldnt be able to perform well in close combat.

...... I'm sorry to sound rude, but that's what a war IS. And this one has been going on for a long time already. I know I didn't think about it or really notice until db joined, and I think that's what's happened to you. Just try to think positively. Until they bring them ALL home, we can't do too much about it

I saw it on the CBS evening news All this week they are having a special on the war over there. I probably shouldn't even be watching it but it's hard not to.

I think we most definitely need more troops over there so I can't relate, sorry.
