Official Countdown has begun - 1 yr and counting

I just got back from El Campo, TX. We had a ceremony yesterday for the Charlie co. deporting to Iraq. As of Oct. 1st, 2009 they are officially "Active Duty" and our one year countdown begins. DB left this morning at 5:45AM, their buses rolled out of the Armory headed to Bush Airport in Houston. Me and his son cried until he comforted me and said "It's ok...Daddy loves me and you this much (he spread his arms wide open)". Which of course made me cry even more....LOL. The last thing DB said was : "Nov. 2011....do you want this to be a 'special' month in your life? Because that's when I want us to start our life together as husband and wife and I promise to ask you right when I come home...not in my ACU's in a hot armory on a stormy Sunday morning". And of course I cried again! So...it's official.. my one year countdown has begun.....and I already miss my best friend, the man who carries my soul in his heart.

aww thats soo sad, but so sweet at the same time. Time will pass fast. Thats what I keep telling myself anyways. The first month has been pretty hard, but hopefully soon it will get better. Good luck....

Oh I AM!!!! LOL i dropped his son off at his mom's and she gave me a bottle of wine...So i am here....in HIS jammies drinking a glass of wine....still crying!!! LOL so i am not sure if he should be a DB or DF?? LOL
