I went to the post office to send off my db his set of care packages (I always send 2). So I was at the counter talking to the postal clerk, and this kind woman saw the packages (I use the package from the post office that has on the outside Support our troops or something like that) and asked were the packages for one of our servicemembers. I said yes ma'am. She said would it be alright for me to pay for this. I asked her was she sure that the prices would be around $30. So she said yes that's the least I can do. You have your loved one or family member over there serving our country. So yes that's fine. I told her thank you and of course I did what.. CRY OF COURSE!!! lol. But I just wanted to share that everyone is still fully supporting our troops. LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE LOVED!!!!

That's awesome!
I remember once my husband and I went out to dinner at this nice Italian restaurant- he was wearing his dress blues, because he doesn't really have any nice clothes. We each got a meal, wine, and a dessert, (had a $100 gift card we were trying to use up all at once) and in the end we were notified that the man playing the grand piano in the corner had paid for it for us, and thanked my husband for his service. Made me feel a little bit bad about ordering dessert AND wine.

i love this story, what an awesome random act of kindness. thanks so much for sharing!and amy - your story is really cute too!! don't feel bad about dessert, you had no idea and that's the truth of a real kind gesture - you got to really enjoy yourself! it reminds me of how lovemyjarhead (brittney)'s SO wore his dress blues on a cruise, and people were buying them drinks all night!
