Anyone doing the deployment thing? We had a webcast with my husband unit commander last night-didnt answer any questions about when they are coming home but was nice to see them answering other questions.

Very cool to meet another wife in my husbands unit

It is frustrating, they keep shipping him off to other places and I never know where he is, ugh. Everytime I talk to him, he is in a new place and he cant tell me anything about it.

I cant wait for this deployment to be over!

I'm not at Ft. Hood, but DB is stationed there. He's currently deployed. Can I still hang out here

We are at Ft Hood - but mine just got back from his year long deployment this past May. So not in the deployment boat at the moment.

and were 8 months into our first deployment... not much longer to go but time sure aint movin quick enough for me

I have yet to visit the enormity that is Ft. Hood. Hubby just went back to Iraq from R&R. We're newlyweds and I don't know anyone from his unit. I have my own house in Austin right now...we're not sure if we'll move closer to base or not when he returns...

Hey ladies, just wanted to check in and see how everyone's doing?! All is good here, just ready to have him home! We hit the 9 month mark today

so we are on the downhill side of this deployment now.
