Support for August Deployments - Deployment Support Groups

So...DB left a few days ago for pre-deployment training. I'll only see him while he's on a four day commander pass, then he leaves (no block leave before deployment). Anyone else have a SO that's deployed/deploying in August?

When DB deployed last December, the December girls were great with the support, and I'm kind of looking for the same thing - a group of us who can deal with this together and get to know each other well.

(If there's already an August thread, I apologize - but I didn't see it when I was searching!)

Tomorrow will be a week since my BF has been deployed and it feels like forever! I joined this site today in hopes of finding some support. I'm sad and crying a lot (but I want to show strength to him) but I feel lost. No one seems to understand what I'm feeling, and what I'm feeling is so strong.

His deployment was very quick, we weren't really ready for it, and now I'm so lost. When will I get to hear from him, how often, what can I send him...its a mess. I think my friends just think I'm a mess. Okay, I am. This is clearly my first deployment.... any help? suggestions? I took all this time off of work to spend with him before he left, he left early, and I sit around all day and I'm sad.

Thank you in advance... this is all so new to me.
