Needing Friends - Deployment Support Groups

I live in Virginia Beach, VA and would like to talk with anyone who has a soldier deployed to Iraq? This is my first deployment and I feel lost

can't stop crying and would like to chat with others who are going through what I'm going through...

Mine is not leaving until fall and he is going to Afgan not Iraq but I too am struggling and he hasn't even left yet. Please feel free to PM me at any time if you need or want to talk. This will be my first deployment as well. We can help each other through.

My fiance is in Iraq, this is my first deployment and i feel the same way. Im lost, i cry and most of the time dont know what to do. This site has really helped me. Ive been able to meet other girls in the same situation and it comforts me to know im not alone, and neither are you! you can talk to me anytime you want!! I too need friends, thats whats making this deployment so hard.

hang in there! My DF is in Afghanistan, not Iraq, but feel free to message me if you ever want to talk! He left a little less than a month ago and this is our 1st deployment.

My DB isn't in Iraq or Afghanistan but he is on deployment. It's the first one I've been through as well and it has been extremely hard on me. I know what you are feeling I'm always available to chat.

I'm going through my first deployment too and my DB is in Iraq. I totally know what you mean about needing friends in the same situation...I had a sad day today, so here I am on this site...it makes me feel less alone. Love the girls on this site! My DB is in Iraq and has been for almost 4 months in just a few short days...I have had my good days & my bad days but I can tell you this, that this deployment as much as I miss him & wish he were here, has really made us grow closer & stronger as a couple as well as within ourselves...So, just remember that there is always a negative with the positive...It wont make all the bad days go away but it sure can help the good days happen more after a while
