Anyone in So. Cal?? - Deployment Support Groups

I was wondering if anyone in So. Cal wanted to get together and go out from time to time to get our minds off missing our men? An in-person support group kinda deal.

I'm in the LA area.

haha, yea SD is a little far from me, but one of my best friends drives there all the time to babysit her niece. If you guys ever want to get together and go to old town or sea world or something, I'll just go to your neck of the woods with my friend!

We girls gotta stick together. hehe

I'm in the northern part of LA county until next spring with DF comes home, then Camp Pendleton will be my home. But for now I'm here!

Not anymore, but I miss it

Nothing beats the beaches (all about pacific beach), the mountains (sliding in snow up the mountains) and how could i forget the off roading in the middle of no-where!!!

Enjoy so cal!!

And the bad stuff... sitting on the 5 in san deigo for 5 hrs to get home, the traffic on the 15 on holiday weekends, and the mean road rage ppl...

But i have tons of friends there, alot military related.

Where do you live there?

OMG SO TRUE!!!!!

I spent EVERY weekend driving on the 5 from LA to oceanside and oceanside to LA (Fridays and Sundays).. ohhh the traffic. I probably spent about 15 hours in traffic each weekend. small price to pay for my man to be home for the weekends!

the only thing that made it worth it was half the time my marine was sitting next to me

and that sounds to much better now than deployment!
