Ok, so I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I just feel like crying ! I miss Tony soo much! I had not posted anything like this before even though there are numerous times I feel like this. This is my first deployment experience and I never imagined this being so hard! This is quite a challenge for me! All I know is that I love him so much and he loves me too and we both wanna be together when he comes back! But sometimes I feel like I'm not strong enough! I couldn't hold these sad feelings inside me and I knew that you ladies would totally understand what I'm going thru. I'm so sorry if I'm not making any sense right now but I just had to let this out! That's all... Thank you for taking the time to read this....

I'm on the down side of my deployment and I still feel this way at times. It is okay to feel this way, but then pick yourself up and get active in something new. Use this time to explore things for yourself. Hang in there.

Things will get better. Ive been in a funk for the last couple days and ive been in this for 4 months now! hah. Time really will fly by quicker than you think it will. my PM box is always open if you need to talk

Hi. I am trying to survive my first deployment too. some days are harder than others, which you probably have figured out. but we will get through it. things always get better (even when they don't seem like it). PM me any time if you need to talk. IT WILL GET BETTER! then it may get worse. THEN IT WILL GET BETTER. Its just a roller coaster. But you will prevail.

based on some of your info I wonder if our men are together? Is he on a MEU sometimes but not always? My PM box is always open if you wanna talk! I'm sorry you are having a hard time- it's normal to have ups and downs- people will tell you to just get busy and if that works for you great but if not I always tell myself it's ok to let myself just cry when I need to b/c for me I have to let it out- I cried today for like 10 mins on and off and now I'm giddy tonight! It's crazy- and a rollercoaster but that's ok as long as you are willing to let the ride take you! You can control this only to a certain point!!! I'm sorry you are having a hard time! You have a great support system here and again feel free to PM me! I actually lived in Japan (Okinawa) when I was young with my Dad who was in the AF! Anyway totally PM me if you want to chat!!!

I know how you feel. I just join this forum hoping to find comfort from people who are going through the same thing. My hubby just left 3 days ago to work as a contractor in Kuwait for year. He just got out the AF not too long ago but with the way the economy is now, he had to go to support the family. I think the first few days are the hardest but Im hoping its gonna get better. Also family and friends just dont really understand what im going through so they cant really connect. If anybody got MSN pm for my addy so we can chat and get through it together.

it will get better. i know that sounds petty but really you will find yourself surviving those hard days and flying through those good days!!!! this deployment won't last forever...just remember that.
