Exactly... the first of many milestones to come. Soon Halloween will be upon us and it's all down hill from there... I think the long month will probably be Feb.. which is ironically the shortest month in the year.

My husband is in the Iwo Jima strike group!! and I was just thinkin ab this today!! 6 months sounds sooo much better than 7!! and time always flies until christmas so

Hi lildixiemiss~

No this is actually my 2nd deployment with my husband since he's been on this ship. He was suppose to transfer in Aug but extended for some unknown reason. I think it had something to due with the lack of orders/ billets that he was interested in. I'm really hoping and literally praying daily that they will pull in much sooner. I'm 3 mos. pregnant with our first child and my EDD is Mach 30. If there is a change in the return date hopefully the ship will notify us. I spoke to him this pass Sunday and asked if he'd heard anything but of course he said "NO" he hadn't heard anything. Let's pray that they perform their mission well and maybe that will buy us a few weeks or days....

I know its a long shot hoping for an early pull in .. but a girl can always hope right.. I miss him bad.. but I know he'll be back.. and everything will just as it was .. like he never left... except I know we can get through anything after this ..

Oh and does anyone else love how people try to compare their relationships to us. I love this girl to death I know but .. she always says her boyfriend is away at college and she only sees him 5 or 6 times a year.and its the same thing .and I shouldn't feel sad because everybody goes through missing someone.. I smile politely..

Or my former boss .. her boyfriend is a MerchantMarine.. she always just talks about the things he buys her ..

(if I could I would give everything he ever bought me back to get him back .. to get another day.. I know all you ladies would agree with me about that )

6 months he'll be back.. hoping for the holidays to fly by so we can do them all over again in march
