Hmm i don't think its wrong. Perhaps it'll hit you when he first goes, or maybe it never will.
As long as you love him, it's not wrong. I wish i could be cool calm and collected when it comes to deployments.

Maybe your still in the denial phase... a lot of us go through that right before they leave. Like if it's still several weeks away, we don't have to think about it at the present moment.. kwim?
I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you. I've got some info to post about the emotional cycle of deployment, but it's long and I don't have a lot of time this morning. I'll try and post it this afternoon..

I don't think there's anything wrong with you. This is our 4th deployment and it didn't bug me. I keep waiting for some feeling to hit me. Don't get me wrong- I love my DH and miss him every day. This is his job and I support him whole-heartedly. Everyone deals with situations differently.

I felt the same way before my DH deployed. I dont think it actually hit me until I got back home and he was not there. Even still, I really didnt get upset about it. I dont think there is anything abnormal or wrong about it.

I definitely don't think there's anything wrong with you... like a lot of the other girls said... I was completely fine up until the moment he had to leave, and then I was a complete wreck for a good week. If I even looked at a picture of him, heard a sad love-type song, watched a sappy movie... I was in tears and inconsolible..lol.. We all just handle things differently
