Him coming home... - Deployment Preparation

DF is getting deployed in March, but I have a question on when I get the official date he's coming home from deployment... Since after we get married and I'mnot moving out there, do I still get the info needed here at home in NY? What I'm hoping to do is fly out there for homecoming with my parents, but how does the information get to me?? I know I'm super early, and I see things on here and it makes me wonder.

He will be asked to provide information for you (email, address, phone number, etc) to his command and you will most likely get updates throughout the deployment. (it really depends on the unit, some are great and constantly send you info, some not so much) But they will let you know close to homecoming time the time frame (usually a 2-3 day window) and usually about 72 hours before you get a more definitive date. Just make sure he gives his command all of your up to date info!

When Dh was Df all of the info went to his parents. IDK what you're situation is but typically if they're not married that's how it goes.

Make sure once you do get married that your dh list you as the person to contact.

I would also find out who the FRG leader is for his unit and give her/him your email and phone number and asked to be added to the contact list.

Sorry. Than in that case, im not totally sure. I think you'll get most of the information from him when he gets it. Don't expect to know anything anytime soon.

Ask him to add you to the FRG contact list. That will be the easiest way to get the most up-to-date info.

You will most likely get that info from him...

However be very careful with flights... I suggest southwest when you do book the flight because the dates will most likely change and you will need to change your flights
