It came sooner than expected.

DH got a letter saying he would be going to Iraq November 2010. He hasn't even graduated BCT yet! I know its a year away but I am very scared. By the time he gets home from AIT we will have ten months to be together before he leaves. Just thought I would let everybody know. Thanks for reading.

These things change constantly. I wouldn't consider it happening until he gets actual orders for it.

Dh deployment date was change so many times that I got to the point that I told him to quit telling me. (which he never listened and told me every time anyway.
They changed it from 2 months after he got into his unit, to that december, to August, to September,to May... and so on.

I wouldnt' worry to much right now.

Its been the same for us... we went from having just a few days notice to now it will have been about 8 months notice before he leaves. You have a LOT of time so I'd just enjoy it. Deployments are unfortunately inevitable and they stir up a lot of emotions you didnt know you had - even before they happen. Hang in there!
