Video Ideas?

Has anyone ever made video clips for their SO/DH to watch while deployed? He's making some for me to watch and I'm planning to make some for him to watch as well. I might not get the entire deployment done before he leaves but I'm hoping to get at least the first month's worth of videos done.... aiming for 1-2 per day.

I'm just looking for ideas on what to talk about since technically he's not gone yet. I seem to freeze up when I turn the camera on and have no idea what to say other than... DH I love you... blah blah.

Any ideas welcome!

I just made a thread about this the other day. I dont have a webcam just yet, but I have an iFlip video camera. It's awesome. As cheesy as it sounds, I make little videos of my daily routine or what not so he can still feel as if he is involved. The other day I sent him a movie (it was like 3 min long). I had an awkward interview thing (not used to doing this yet), clips of my puppy being funny, clips from a night out which includes our mutual friends, and just little stuff that are inside jokes. ie. I hate getting gas so he always used to do it for me...so I filmed myself getting gas, people looked but they thought I was just messing with my cell phone since this camera is so small.

He absolutely loved it. He has an iFlip as well and is going to make movies for me too. So I can see more than what his computer webcam can offer.

its a great idea! I'm just stuck! I have tons of ideas for after he's gone... but I really want to send him with at least a months worth of movies for the getting settled period....

Once he's gone I plan to video tape lots of my road trips. I'll be visiting family, so I'll have family and friends talking to him. I'll have the dog and the places we are. I like the daily routine idea too.

Hopefully we can come up with some more, huh?
