October Deplyments - Deployment Preparation

I thought there was an October thread already?
I cant find it. Anyways, any ladies on my ship or what?
DH comes home for a few days and then has to go

DF can't even come home so I'm going there. But I'm in the same position. This is our first one and I'm nervous but we can do it.

I am awaiting October deployment.

It's our first deployment so I am not sure what to expect. I think waiting and anticipating is giving me time to over think things. Man oh man, this is going to be no fun!

I know how you girls feel. If dh wasnt going to be able to come out here I was gonna endure a 3 hour plane ride with my 11 month old my myself. Then a 5 hour non stop back to chicago! Thank God he got leave to come out here.

DB left yesterday. 1 day down, 1 year to go...

ETA: I'm Charity. :waves I'm 24, been with DB for 14 months. He's Air Force Reserves, and this is our second deployment together. The first was a 6 month tour, and now this is a year.

It seems like the days are flying by until he leaves... Not good!

I am so not excited about this deployment! Man oh man! Would anyone like to be my deployment buddy?

**Ive been in a daze. Du leaves in a week. But I've been relatively calm. There's to many final details to do to freak out or cry. Plus two little one a household and my job. It keeps me from focusing on the fact he is leaving. Btw were at Fort Stewart and unfortunatly he got advcom so he and a small group are leaving ahead of the division. Sigh

How long is everyone's deployment going to be?

Maybe we ought to get to know each other a little more.

SO: Jake, Air Force Reserves
Where: Afghanistan
About Me: I'm 24, I'm a pediatric RN, and am also in school full time as a Elementary Education major.
Goal for this Deployment:
1. Lose 70 lbs.
2. Save money.
3. Finish 15 classes towards my degree (and do well in them, obviously!)
