Depends, some have it before they leave, some take a good 2-3 months to get it.

The FRG sent out the address less than a week after they left. DH still doesn't know his address.

In my DH's unit the FRO gave it to us about 2 weeks before they deployed.

Got DH's a couple weeks after from the FRG. They didn't want to give it out before hand in case it took them longer than they expected to get there. They didn't want anything to get lost or stolen
