when we were just talking, cant remember how it came up. but he said that he hopes that she'll still remember him
i hope she does, b/c i want her to be able to go right to him when he gets back & she wont freak or anything thinking he's a stranger. i dont think that will happen, but theres always that lil thing in the back of your head you always worry about.

Make sure that he does a video for her! So she can hear his voice and see his face and facial expressions! That will help out a TON!!!!

ya when he calls i plan on putting it on speaker for her & hopefully he'll be able to get on webcam as well. but we have no idea where the video camera is so cant really make a vid, maybe on my cell i can try or something.

Do you have a friend who has a camera or video camera?

You can make a video with your webcam :o) When DH gets closer to leaving, I am planning on having him read a few books while recording him, and a tape/CD of him singing lullabyes. DS is a little older than your baby, but it is doable. When DH was gone at basic we had pictures everywhere, and I made him a book (scrapbook style, but little) that was all pictures of daddy. I just made sure to put in effort everyday to keep daddy at the front of his mind.

It is hard, but do-able!

borrow a camera from a friend, or go buy a cheap digital camera from walmart or target and make a few videos or voice recordings to play for her so she can see and hear him while he's away.

When dh left for bootcamp I recorded a little video clip of him and put it on the computer for our dd. She was 4 mos when he left. Every day or so i would play the video for her and show her pictures of daddy to keep it fresh in her mind. At bootcamp graduation she studied him for a minute then smiled. She remembered! He had tears in his eyes it was really sweet. And when he was in A school I would put him on speaker phone all the time for her. It's not easy but it can be done. Good luck!
